Your project overview should list the exact deliverables you expect and the assets you need when your project is done. You should also include deadlines and time tables if you have them. Keep in mind that the faster the turnaround time, the more expensive the project.

Deliverables are the concrete, measurable things you will want from your Creative. Make these as clear as possible. Here are some examples:

  • Write a weekly blog with 500-700 words.

  • Create a colorful banner for our Facebook Group based on our logo and tagline.

  • Edit 20-30 minutes of footage into a 10 minute promo video.

  • Produce weekly 25 minute long podcasts and upload onto hosting service.

  • Post 3 times per week on Facebook (1 image and 2 text posts).

  • Create a new landing page for our new visitors which includes a video and 3 scrolling sections.

The goal is to provide enough information so that Creatives can determine the skills and time needed to complete the work and submit a proposal with accurate pricing and revision information.

The assets are the files or work you expect to receive. Here are some examples of assets for the above listed deliverables:

  • .docx files or Google Doc access

  • .png file

  • .mp4 file

  • .mp3 file and email confirming the file has been uploaded to the hosting service

  • Submit work log with posts or screenshot of scheduled posts

  • Active landing page

Many common projects can be found in our quick-start projects menu, including logos, social media management and video editing. If you’re not sure where to start, you might want to use a quick-start project as a template.
