Organizations come to Share to connect with awesome creative talent and your profile is your first chance to make an impression.
Here are 5 things you can do when setting up your Creative account to help you stand out.

1. Pick a clear, clean profile photo.

If you have professional headshots, use them. If you don’t, pick a picture that is clear and bright so companies can see your beautiful face when they’re looking at your profile. Pictures that display you from the shoulders up are best, so your face is visible even when the picture is small. You can crop your profile picture before uploading it to get the correct size.

2. Use a descriptive job title.

This one may seem really obvious, but make sure your job title accurately reflects your skill set. You will have the opportunity to add 3 creative categories to your profile, so you can put more than one title. For example, “Social Media Manager | Graphic Designer” or “Video & Audio Editor”.

3. Write a concise biography that includes your “why.”

One of the most powerful tools you can use to connect with organizations is to tell them why you are in the biz. You can use this section to briefly describe your faith journey, how you came to believe in Jesus, and your experience journey, why you decided to offer your creative services. Show organizations why you do what you do and why they would want to work with you.

4. Use your employment section to highlight your skills in action.

As you add your experience to this section, use the “Description” section to write a few sentences about how you used your skills on a regular basis. This helps organizations gauge your track record and see your track record.

5. Maximize your portfolio.

Do not neglect this section of your profile. You can read more about how to get the most out of your portfolio below. This visual section could be the make or break section in your profile. Strut your stuff and show organizations what you can do.
