A Peer Support Specialist is a trained peer who uses their own lived experience with mental health challenges, recovery, or life transitions to support others. Peer Specialists are trained to listen, reflect, and hold space with care and safety.

They are not therapists or clinicians, but they are skilled in providing meaningful, compassionate peer support.

You can learn more about Peer Support Specialists on our Peer Support Specialist info page.
