While we encourage your active involvement, you can also choose to be an observer your first few sessions if that feels more comfortable for you. Observers must have lived-experience on the session topic, but if any questions arise during the session that you are uncomfortable answering, it is perfectly acceptable to say, "I would like to pass on this question at this time."
However, we do recommend participating as sharing your experiences might lead to meaningful insights and 'ah-ha' moments, not just for yourself but also for others in the group, contributing to personal growth and development.
