How do I turn on Apple & Google Pay?

sheepCRM administrators can enable Apple & Google Pay by going to https://settings.sheepcrm.com/integrations/config/integrations

  1. Make sure you have enabled and set up your Stripe integration. More information can be found here > Payments: Stripe integration setup

  2. Enable the Apple and Google pay option on the Stripe integration widget by setting the toggle to Yes.

How does it work in sheepApp?

Depending on the device the user is accessing the sheepApp from they will either see Google or Apple pay options when checking out and Stripe is enabled. They will also get the option to add card details by selecting Enter new card details if they want the standard credit/debit card payment experience.

See below an example using a Chrome browser on a desktop with Google pay enabled and making a donation.

Is Apple and Google Pay supported everywhere in the sheepApp?

If enabled, then currently Apple and Google Pay will show as options when paying for any of the following when the payment is made via Stripe (excluding Stripe subscriptions).

  • Event tickets

  • Donations/appeals

  • New Memberships

  • Membership Renewals

  • Documents

  • Invoices

  • Courses

Notes and considerations

Stripe has many one-click payment options available; we only officially support Apple and Google Pay, both of which are usually on by default in your Stripe account.

  • Apple and Google Pay are not available for Stripe Subscription payment plans, only standard Stripe payments.

  • Some regions throughout the world may or may not support Apple or Google Pay

    • If that is the case users will need to select and enter card details manually.

  • Apple and Google Pay may not be available on every device or browser. We have tested with a number of Apple and Android devices and popular browsers to confirm expected behaviour, but ultimately this is driven by the payment providers.

  • We do not currently support other one-click payment options. If you would like to allow for other one-click payment options, please contact support
