If the Sherpa Classroom isn't performing as you'd expect, it is usually due to poor internet performance on your Network. Here are a few tips to avoid any issues with:

Weak Wifi Signal

  • If you are using a wireless Wifi Network, move as close to the router as possible.

  • Try to minimise the number of walls between yourself and the router, especially if they are likely to be solid stone or bricks. These will slightly block wifi signals.

  • Try to not place your device near large metal structures, beams or furniture as well as a Television as these can badly block Wifi signals.

  • If you are unable to get any closer to your wi-fi router and the signal is still insufficient, try investing in a wifi booster plugged into a nearby socket.

Slow Wifi Speed

  • Ensure that nobody else on the same Wifi Network is streaming HD video (like Netflix) or playing games online as this kind of internet usage can take up a lot of your limited internet bandwidth which will cause problems for other users.

  • The more people using devices under the same network, the more likely you are to have a poor connection to your device.

  • If at all possible, using a hardwired ethernet connection from your Wifi router to your PC or Laptop device. This will ensure you get the fastest speed available.

  • If all else fails, turn off your webcam and continue through voice chat.
