If you are having trouble uploading the documents you want onto the Sherpa Classroom, the likelihood is the file type is unsupported. Here are a few tips on how to convert unsupported files into PDF:

Tip 1:

"Save as PDF file type directly through Microsoft"

  • Go about your business, as usual, creating your excellently constructed document in Microsoft Word or classy presentation through Microsoft Powerpoint.

  • Once it is complete and you are ready to convert it as a PDF, click on File in the top left corner of the screen. (Note: The screenshots below were taken from Microsoft Word but the process for Powerpoint is identical)

  • From here, continue as normal into the "Save As" section.

  • Once you have chosen where you wish to save the document on your PC it will bring you to the section in which you name the document.

  • Underneath the document name is a drop-down list of all the file types the document can be saved as. Scroll down to PDF, left-click, then Finish by clicking "Save" on the right-hand side near the bottom.

Tip 2:

"Use a free online PDF Converter tool"

  • Saved the file as a DOCX or PPT already? No problem at all, the following is a free and easy way to convert them through the internet.

  • Then follow the instructions on the screen. Click download. It is a simple, no-nonsense way of saving a DOCX or PPT into a PDF.
