As a parent/guardian, you can add your children/dependents as students on Sherpa.
This will allow you to:
Give your child/dependent their own login to Sherpa
Speak to the tutor privately regarding areas such as progress
Both receive email notifications and lesson reminders
Both review lesson recordings and notes to see how they're getting on
There are a few ways in which you can create and add students to a booking:
1. Adding students to an existing booking
To add a student to an existing booking, select 'Edit' on the relevant row from your Bookings page which takes you to a specific booking with a specific tutor as per the screenshot below. Then, click 'Manage' on the 'Students' section to add your child to the booking:
2. Adding students through a new booking request
When setting up a booking with a tutor, you will be asked whether you would like to add students:
3. Adding students when confirming a booking request
If your tutor sends you a booking request, you can add a student when accepting this:
Adding new students
When adding students, you will be asked to enter the child's name, email and DOB to create an account for them.
Once added to a booking, the student will receive an email to finish setting up their account.
They will then be able to message their tutor from their own account, join and review lessons, and receive notifications and lesson reminders. Student accounts can also accept and edit bookings.
As their parent/guardian, you can review all messages with their tutors.
Please note:
Students cannot send booking requests. The tutor can send over requests for the student to accept, or you can create the bookings on their behalf.
FAQs
How does my new student log in to Sherpa?
When you add a new student to your account, they'll receive an email which looks like this:
This will give them a link where they choose a password. Once they have created a password, they'll be able to log in to Sherpa as normal.
If you're sharing a device, make sure you log out of your parent account first.
