If your business needs have changed, or you're looking to reduce your monthly costs, you can downgrade your Shippit subscription.
This article is about downgrading your Shippit account, if you have a reduction in shipping volume. For more information about Shippit charges, see the plan costs article.
Before you downgrade
Your downgrade request takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, depending on the specific downgrade and your current plan. Any changes to your billing are reflected on your next invoice.
Downgading means you'll move to a lower-tiered plan with different features and pricing. Make sure you understand the features that you might lose access to when you downgrade.
Review the features of the plan you're considering to ensure it meets all your business requirements.
Downgrade your account
If you are logged in to your Shippit account as a merchant, you can request a downgrade directly from your account.
Downgrading your account
Open the drop down menu in the top right of your screen, and click Billing Details. You need to be logged in as a Merchant to access this screen.
In the Subscriptions section, click Manage to open the in-app support assistant.
Click Downgrade and complete your conversation with the in-app support assistant to request your downgrade. When your downgrade has been completed, Shippit support send you a confirmation email.
โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT: If you can't see the Billing Details screen, make sure that you are logged in as a Merchant. If you need help, contact Shippit support or get in touch with your Shippit project manager.
Important information about downgrading
Your subscription is downgraded on your next billing date. Downgrading your subscription does not retroactively refund any subscription payments. Charges that have already been charged can't be refunded or pro-rated based on the date you downgraded.
If you want to remove your card details from your Shippit account, whether or not you want to change your subscription, contact Shippit support or get in touch with your Shippit project manager.
If you cancel your subscription, you can continue to log in to Shippit and use the service, but you can no longer access discounted shipping rates, and any orders you ship attract a 15% surcharge.
You must have a subscription to be able to access BYO carriers on the Shippit platform. If you downgrade your subscription, any BYO carriers you were using on the platform are deactivated, and any orders you ship are subject to Shippit rates instead of your BYO rates.
๐ก NOTE: We're here to help you! If you have any questions, contact Shippit support or get in touch with your Shippit project manager.
