Dock Scheduling Calendar Enhancements

Shipwell has enhanced the Dock Scheduling Calendar view in two important ways:

  1. New Gantt or Timeline view to provide higher dock/door density facility

  2. Provide shipment / order level information tied to an appointment

Gantt / Timeline View

Access the Gantt view by selecting ‘Viewing’ within the dock scheduling calendar. This then switches the view so that your docks/doors are listed vertically on the lefthand access and the timeline is listed on the horizontal access. While this view is more information dense you still have the same hoverover information available.

Shipment / Order Level Information for Appointments

Dock workers are looking for more information at their fingertips related to incoming appointments. This includes aggregate shipment information and line item detail of information. We have enhanced the hoverover for dock scheduling to provide quantity, weight, and number of pieces along with allowing a user to select ‘See line item details’ to get a modal with line item detail of an incoming appointment.

Create Multi-Stage Shipments from Existing Shipments

Customers that are looking to link multiple shipments together post shipment creation can now do this with the new ‘Create Multi-Stage Shipment’ option that is available on the shipment dashboard. Simply select the shipments that you are looking to link together and it will create a Multi-Stage Shipment from them.

This will result in the shipments being given the same Multi-Stage ID and it will also populate the number of Stages (i.e. different shipments) that are part of the Multi-Stage Shipment. You can leverage Multi-Stage ID as part of your search shipments query to get all shipments that are linked together.

In the side panel that opens on the right when a shipment is selected if you choose the Stages icon you will see the various shipments that are part of the multi-stage shipment also.

Data Science

Facility hours with dock rules used in Optimization

  • Orders associated with a facility will use the facility hours and dock rules associated with that facility to determine the overall availability to use in Optimization

  • Individual appointments at docks will not be considered for planning in Optimization

Swifty able to schedule/reschedule/cancel dock appointments

  • A forwarding email set as the pirmary contact for the facility must be used for dock scheduling

        • Core use cases for the ability to replay a specific previous webhook attempt are:

          • Replay or retry a webhook delivery attempt that failed or timed out

          • Debug or using a payload from an existing webhook delivery attempt

          • Fix an issue by replaying a webhook delivery attempt that already succeeded

          • Etc.
