Shipment Dashboard Enhancements
We’ve made a lot of improvements to the Shipments Dashboard.
Custom Data is now searchable from the filters screen. In this example I have a reference field called “CUSTOM FIELD EDIT 1” and a value of “My custom field.”
In the Custom Data filter, you will now have a case-sensitive search for custom data.
This currently works for Shipment level references but we will be adding in LineItem and Stop in the future.
Dock Scheduling Quality of Life Improvements
We’ve made a lot of improvements to the Dock Scheduling interface based on customer feedback.
We’ve improved the readability of the calendar view by removing wasted spacing in the left column and increased calendar spacing
Increase the size of fonts on dates, labels, and cards
Added the Purchase Order Number on the appointment cards if available
We now remember the last selected facility in the facility selector view
Added draggable handles to the appointment cards in the side panel to help show uses this is drag and drop as well as text above the dates for the week
User Permission Updates
We’ve redesigned the user list view and management pages.

Bulk Action to Create Round Trip Shipments (Coming soon!)

Users now have the ability to select multiple shipments from the Shipment Dashboard, and then under the Shipment Bulk Actions option, they can create round trip Shipments.
This option will add a final stop to each shipment, using the same address information as the first stop. When the final stop is added, the shipment distance will automatically be re-calculated to reflect returning to the origin location on the load.
This function will only be performed on shipments that:
Do not have a carrier already assigned on the shipment
Do not have any open tenders to carriers
Do not have a mode of LTL, VLTL, or Parcel.
If a shipment is selected with one of these conditions, the system will skip over that shipment and will not add the round trip stop. In addition, the contract rating logic has been updated to exclude round trip stops when calculating additional stop charges for a shipment.
The user will see a message indicating the round trip process has started, and will receive a 2nd confirmation message once the process is complete.

Data Science/Analytics Updates
You will begin to see reports marked as “_v2” at the end of naming convention. What this indicates is this respective has been switched to a star schema-based report. This means the report will run significantly faster for you, the user, when its on the new star schema.
Mobile App Updates (Applicable for IOS and Android)
Shipment Messages Automatically Update: When you receive a new message while on the shipment message screen the page now automatically refreshes.
Shipment Tracking Notification Automatically Closes when Manually Completing Shipment: When a driver manually completes the last stop the shipment tracking notification now automatically closes (previously the notification wouldn’t close until the next location update was attempted)
Trimble Maps: The routes shown on the shipment map are now the recommended trucking routes as recommended by Trimble
