On one-page checkout, returning customers are sent straight to payment with their saved address pre-filled. Most don't look at it. When that address is wrong, the order ships to the wrong place — and you're left with an RTO.
The Address Confirmation Popover adds a brief pause at checkout that shows customers exactly where their order is headed. If the address is wrong, they fix it. If it's right, they move on. It's a small moment that prevents a costly mistake.
Why it matters
Fewer RTOs: Customers catch wrong addresses before the order is placed, not after it's shipped.
No extra friction for most shoppers: The pop-up auto-closes after a few seconds — customers with the right address barely notice it.
Highest impact where wrong-address cost is high: High AOV orders, bulky goods, and perishables take a harder hit from RTOs than standard shipments.
How to set it up
This is a merchant-level config and is off by default.
Step 1: Go to Flo Checkout → Core Setup on your Shopflo dashboard.
Step 2: Find the Address Confirmation Popover section and toggle it on.
Step 3: Set how long the pop-up stays visible using Auto-close pop-up after. Use the + and − buttons to adjust the duration in seconds (default: 5s).
Step 4: Use Show Preview to see how the pop-up will appear to customers before saving.
Step 5: Save your settings.
Who should use this
This feature is best suited for brands where a wrong-address delivery is especially costly:
High AOV products — where return shipping or loss on a misdelivered order is significant
Bulky or heavy goods — where re-shipment costs are high
Perishables or time-sensitive items — where a failed delivery can't be resent
Brands with a largely prepaid customer base or operating in high-RTO pin codes will see the most benefit.
