To keep your account secure, you will need to contact us to change or update your name please get in touch via our support messenger. Our Fin AI Agent can help or put you in contact with the right team. Please attach documentation confirming your new name. Supporting documents can be in the form of a:
marriage certificate or divorce documentation
name change certificate
If you originally registered with a nickname, you will also need to contact us so we can help you change it to your legal name. If your name has a typo in it, we will be happy to correct that for you as well.
If you would like to change the name in your account to another person’s name, this would involve a copyright transfer of your work. Learn more about transferring your account to another person here.
Once we receive your request along with the supporting documentation, a member of the Contributor Care team will update the name associated with the account. You will see the change reflected in the “Make payments to” field in your Account settings.
To change your “Display name,” the name that customers see on our website, log in to your contributor account and click on Public profile in your Account at the bottom left-hand corner. Enter a new display name and click Save at the top of the page. You can also change your Portfolio URL, but only one URL change is permitted.
