In order to transfer your account from a personal account to a business account, you will need to provide us with the full legal business name that payments will be made to. We will also need documentation proving the business exists and proof of ownership. Examples include tax forms, stock certificates, sales deeds, or any other document that clearly states the owner of a business. If those documents are not in English, a notarized English translation executed by a certified translation service must be provided.
If there is approved content in your portfolio, the business entity will be required to assume all of your obligations and your various agreements with Shutterstock. You will have to execute an Assignment and Assumption Agreement (transfer of copyright agreement), which we will provide at that time.
Once your account information is updated, you will be required to complete a new tax form. Please note that payments will not be issued to accounts that do not have an approved tax form on file.
Please contact our Contributor Care team, and we will guide you through the process.
