If you are having trouble logging into your contributor account, please check the following:
Are you logging in on the correct site?
Our marketplace consists of two separate sites, one for customers at shutterstock.com and the other for contributors at submit.shutterstock.com. If you are encountering problems logging into your contributor account with Shutterstock, please make sure you are using your contributor login information and are logging in on submit.shutterstock.com. Our customer website requires a separate registration and cannot be accessed with your contributor login. You are welcome to register for a free customer account on shutterstock.com and may use the same email address as for your contributor account, but you must register separately for each of our two websites.
reCAPTCHA code
To access your contributor account you have to enter a reCAPTCHA code along with your password.
If you do not see a reCAPTCHA code in the login window or receive the message "Invalid security code. Please try again", there may be a Trojan virus or malware on your computer. In these instances we recommend for you to update your anti-virus software and further research the matter online. You may also look for answers on reCAPTCHA support page.
Cookies and firewalls
Shutterstock sites also require your browser to be set to accept cookies. If you set your browser to accept cookies and still have issues accessing the site, you may need to adjust some settings on your computer:
A firewall may be blocking access. Check the settings of your firewall(s) to make sure that access to shutterstock.com and all its subdomains (like submit.shutterstock.com) are permitted in your firewall(s).
Your anti-virus program may be set to block our site. Please make sure that it allows you to access the site.
Check your proxy settings (if applicable) to make sure that access to shutterstock.com and all its subdomains are permitted in your proxy settings.
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be blocking access. Occasionally image-heavy sites such as Shutterstock will be blocked by an ISP. We recommend contacting your ISP to verify that shutterstock.com and all its subdomains are permitted access by your ISP.
As firewalls, anti-virus programs and proxy servers differ greatly, we are not able to troubleshoot specific issues with them. Shutterstock site updates can also cause the site to be inaccessible due to these settings without any changes on your side. If you are uncertain about how to allow access to specific domains, please consult the tech help desk for these programs. If you have tried these steps without success, we recommend trying to access the Shutterstock website using a computer on a different network and/or a different browser.
If you are entering the correct credentials on submit.shutterstock.com and are receiving the message "We're Sorry! You've entered an incorrect username/password combination" please contact us as there is most likely an issue with your account.
