When creating your own ads to run via Sid’s managed campaigns, it's essential to follow the platform-specific requirements to ensure your creatives display properly and perform optimally. Below you’ll find a detailed guide for each platform.

LinkedIn Ads

Recommended Formats:

  • Square (1:1)
    Size: 1080x1080 px
    File type: JPG or PNG
    Max file size: 5 MB

  • Landscape (1.91:1)
    Size: 1200x628 px
    File type: JPG or PNG
    Max file size: 5 MB

  • Video Ads:
    Aspect Ratio: 1:1 (Square) or 16:9 (Landscape)
    Max file size: 200 MB
    Format: MP4
    Length: 3 sec – 30 min
    Subtitles recommended for accessibility.

Pro Tip: We recommend focusing on 1:1 (Square) and 16:9 (Landscape) for the most flexibility across devices.

Facebook & Instagram Ads

Recommended Formats:

  • Square (1:1)
    Size: 1080x1080 px

  • Vertical/Story (9:16)
    Size: 1080x1920 px

  • Landscape (1.91:1)
    Size: 1200x628 px

  • Portrait (4:5)
    Size: 1080x1350 px

File Types & Limits:

  • Images:
    Format: JPG or PNG
    Max file size: 30 MB

  • Videos:
    Format: MP4 or MOV
    Max file size: 250 MB
    Length: Up to 60 sec (Stories), up to 240 min (Feed)

Best Practice:
We highly recommend creating all ads in these four formats for maximum coverage across placements (feed, stories, reels).

Google Display Network (GDN)

Image Ads:

We use six key formats for best reach:

  1. 300x250 px

  2. 250x250 px

  3. 336x280 px

  4. 728x90 px

  5. 300x600 px

  6. 320x100 px

File Requirements:

  • Max file size: 150 KB per ad

  • Format: JPG, PNG, or GIF (static images only)

YouTube Ads

Video Requirements (Skippable In-Stream & Non-Skippable Ads):

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (Landscape)

  • Resolution: Minimum 720p (1280x720 px), Full HD (1920x1080 px) recommended

  • Format: MP4 or MOV

  • Max file size: 1 GB

  • Length:

    • Skippable ads: 12 sec to 3 min

    • Non-skippable ads: Max 15 sec

    • Bumper ads: 6 sec

Thumbnail:

  • Size: 1280x720 px

  • Format: JPG, PNG

  • Max file size: 2 MB

  • We usually start by creating the Square (1:1) format first.

  • After client feedback (such as updates to text or logos), we roll out the other formats (Story 9:16, Landscape 1.91:1, and Portrait 4:5) for consistency and faster approval.
