What does “Source of Funds” and "Source of Wealth" mean?

As a regulated business, Sidekick is required on occasions to ask for additional information to help us to verify the source of wealth and source of funds.

Source of Wealth considers a customer’s overall financial position. It looks at how your total wealth is accumulated over time.

  • Salary or bonus: Last 2 months pay slips.

  • Sale of personal assets (car, house, etc.): Receipt, completion statement from your solicitor.

  • Inheritance: Letter from the executors or personal representatives.

  • Investments: Last month’s account statement.

  • Business ownership: Last set of financial accounts.

Source of Funds is the origin of the funds being used for your payment to Sidekick.

  • Savings: Last month’s account statement.

  • Dividends: Copy of dividend certificate.


We only ask for this information when certain thresholds or triggers are met. Your data is always treated securely and confidentially.
