Sidekicker Performance Policy
Updated over a week ago

As a Sidekick, you are part of a community of professional, experienced and reliable individuals. Being part of this community means that you are held to high standards of service.

Sidekick performance is comprised of four elements:

Failure to follow these policies will result in disciplinary proceedings of your account, and may mean you are no longer be able to access shifts via the Sidekicker platform.

Reliability

At Sidekicker, the Reliability Score of a Sidekick is measured by how frequently you withdraw from shifts you have already committed to working. Your score will start at 100%, and will take into account your most recent 10 shifts on the platform.

When you withdraw from a shift that you've already committed to working, it causes issues for our clients. Additionally, it means that other Sidekicks that applied to work the shift miss out 😒

  • βœ… Only apply for shifts you can work!

  • ⚠️ If you can no longer work a shift you applied for, withdraw from the shift ASAP through the app at least 48h before the shift start time.

  • ❌ If you withdraw from too many shifts in a short period of time you'll be given asked to complete our Reliability Refresher training quiz. If you continue to withdraw from shifts after you've been sent the Reliability Refresher, you will lose access to your Sidekicker account.

  • ❌❌ If you simply "do not show" to your shifts and don't give us adequate notice by withdrawing from the shift through the app, this will be considered a "no show". You will immediately lose access to your Sidekicker account.

Professionalism

As a Sidekick, you are part of a community of high quality workers that demonstrate professionalism in all they do. Sidekicker defines professionalism as:

1. Being punctual

2. Possessing the right skills for the job

3. Having a good attitude

4. Taking pride in your presentation

Sidekicker will occasionally receive feedback about a Sidekick's performance directly from a client or from a Sidekicker internal staff member. Feedback specifics are kept confidential between Sidekicker and the reporter, however we will take efforts to validate feedback before any disciplinary action is taken.

If negative feedback is received, a performance warning will be issued to the Sidekick. If the same negative feedback is consistently received despite warnings, you will lose access to your Sidekicker account.Β

Platform Compliance

The Sidekicker platform provides all job-related information such as contact details, job descriptions, job time/date and job locations. Any attempt to subvert the use of the Sidekicker platform may result in disciplinary action and you may lose access to your Sidekicker account.

Actions that are considered 'subverting the platform' include:

  • Contacting a client outside of the Sidekicker platform to complete a shift

  • Accepting cash payment for Sidekicker shifts

  • Providing your contact details, such as your phone number, email, LinkedIn or other social media in your application or in the comments section of a job

  • Approaching a client via email, phone, social media or other methods after seeing a job advertised on Sidekicker

  • Propositioning a client to offer you further work outside of the Sidekicker platform while on a shift or before, during or after completing a shift

  • Negotiating the pay rate of a job with a client outside of the Sidekicker platform

  • Offering bribes or favours for future work, positive reviews, or other favourable outcomes

  • Any other actions which attempt to subvert the use of the Sidekicker platform as a method of applying, accepting, completing, & being paid for work completed.

Visa Conditions

As an employee of Sidekicker, you are responsible for:

  • Providing Sidekicker with evidence of your valid Right to Work (AU/NZ)

  • Not applying for or completing shifts that exceed your work restrictions

  • Notifying Sidekicker if your visa conditions change

If you exceed your work restrictions or supply Sidekicker with false information, this may result in disciplinary action and your Sidekicker account could be deactivated.
