What does it mean when a market is closed?

Written by Boluwatife Akande

A closed market is no longer accepting new trades.

Markets typically close shortly before the event begins or as the resolution date approaches. Once a market is closed:

  • You cannot open any new positions.

  • Existing positions remain active until the market is resolved.

  • The market will settle once the outcome has been verified using the published resolution criteria.
