Although they may sound similar, closed and resolved refer to different stages of a market.

A closed market:

  • Is no longer accepting new trades.

  • Has not yet determined the final outcome.

  • Is waiting for the event to conclude and be verified.

A resolved market:

  • Has had its outcome officially confirmed.

  • Has been settled according to the market rules.

  • Has automatically credited any eligible payouts to users.
