To enroll a provider in OIG continuous monitoring, you'll need to:

  • Find to the provider go to their profile in your facility account

  • Click the "Sanctions" tab

Here, you'll find the OIG Continuous Monitoring feature. In order to utilize this feature, you'll need to enter three key pieces of information:

  1. Provider's Social Security Number

  2. Any other known legal names (eg. maiden name)

  3. Provider's Date of Birth

Once you click "Save" button, the OIG continuous monitoring will automatically run a query and you'll see a banner informing you the "provider file updated successfully".

The OIG continuous monitoring actively runs the first week of the month. Should you need to run an OIG query ad hoc, you can do so by clicking the hyperlinked text, "Run Query". 

If you need to edit the entered information, click the hyperlinked text "Edit". The fields for OIG Continuous Monitoring will appear for editing. Once you've made the necessary changes, click "Save" to complete.

REMINDER: OIG Continuous Monitoring automatically runs the first week of every month. You do not need to do anything other than make sure the above information is entered into Silversheet and saved in order to activate this feature.
