There can be a variety of reasons for removing an indicator from your Tradestation platform.
You have an updated version of an indicator and you want to make sure that the correct version loads up on your charts. This may be a reason to perform an uninstall.
In any case, you may want to remove the existing indicator and any files that may be associated with it in Tradestation.
It is recommended that you run the uninstall application that came with the indicator.
Although the file path may vary a little on your computer, you can find the uninstall application in the indicator's folder.
Open a Window's directory, and look for the indicator's folder. The file path will be similar to the following:
Computer > Main (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Simpler Trading > ST_NameOfTheIndicator > Uninstall
As good practice, you may wish to un-install the prior version before installing an updated version of your indicator:
DELETING AN INDICATOR FROM TRADESTATION:
Open a Windows explorer file window and go to:
Main (C:) > Program Files (x86) > TradeTheMarkets > ST_NameOfTheIndicator
Run the "uninstall" application
- or -
Go to "Development Environment" , use the drop down box find and delete the indicator from there.
