If you encounter issues with the Stripe integration, here are some common troubleshooting steps:
Stripe button not working on Simpli Events
Problem: The button on your settings page on Simpli Events does nothing when being clicked
Solution: Please contact Simpli Events support directly at contact@simplievents.com, or message us from the chat box on the bottom right
Why: This problem sometimes occurs when a Stripe account was in the process of being created but a large amount of time has passed.
Stripe account not accepting payments
Problem: If your Stripe account is not processing payments, please
Solution: follow the below steps
Review the process to connect to Stripe to ensure it was properly setup. You can read our Connecting to Stripe guide.
Check that you have selected the correct account type (individual or corporation). You can review what account type you should have here.
If this is the issue, then you have two options:
a) create a new Stripe business account with the correct account type
b) contact Stripe support to change your account type.
