Each Address element in your Journey can be managed (configured) separately. There are a number of controls that can be used to manage the configuration of each, and you may allow/require different configurations where addresses are used for different purposes.

Where can addresses be captured in a Journey?

Addresses can be captured:

  • against a Person Applicant. Distinct addresses can be captured for:

    • Current Residential Address

    • Previous Residential Address

    • Mailing Address

    • Post-Settlement Residential Address

  • against an Employer

  • against a Company Applicant

    • Principle Trading Address

    • Registered Address

    • Mailing Address

  • against a Trust Applicant

    • Principle Trading Address

    • Registered Address

    • Mailing Address

  • against a Property Asset/Security Property

Each address can be configured independently, as a Lender may have different acceptable addresses under different circumstances. eg

  • a Current Residential Address is not allowed to be a PO Box

  • a security property Address is not allowed to be an international address

  • a pre-approval application allows a TBA address

Following is a description of the Controls that can be used to manage your addresses in your Journeys.

Show Existing Control

When set to YES, Show Existing control will make all existing Address records available when entering an address - allowing for either:

  • type in new address record or

  • select from existing address records

eg in the following screen shot the Current Residential address record is made available in the Post Settlement Address record, for easy selection if a new address is not to be created:

Allow PO Box

When set to YES, Allow PO Box control will add the "Add PO Box" button option when adding an Address. If this control is not set to YES, a user will not be able to add a PO Box for that particular Address type.

It is a common requirement, for instance, that a Current Residential Address cannot be a PO Box address, and so this Control can be set to NO for the Current Residential Address to ensure valid data is captured.

Where Add PO Box is selected, the user will get PO Box-specific data capture to complete:

Which will then set the appropriate record. Note that this PO Box record is then only allowed in "Show Existing" selector dropdowns where PO Boxes are allowed. In the following, even though a PO Box has been added as a Mailing Address, it is not then made available under "Show Existing" controls in Post Settlement Address, as the Allow PO Box logic overrides the Show Existing logic:

Allow Non-Standard

Simpology Journeys address records have type-ahead search functionality utilising Google maps to quickly and conveniently identify verified addresses and to auto-populate into journey records.

Where an address cannot be successfully found via Google maps, you are able to add a 'non-standard' address (ie manually enter in an address). Where set to YES, the Allow Non-Standard Control allows for this manual address entry.

Where you select this entry method, you are presented with data capture fields to manually enter the address:

Countries

Countries Control allows you to set which country addresses will be presented to the user via Google maps.

Eg if set to AU, only Australian Addresses will be presented in Google maps type-ahead functionality:

Or if not set, the 'whole world' is presented in Google maps type-ahead functionality:

You are able to set logic to allow for specific countries - eg AU + NZ

How to configure Address Controls in Platform

To configure Address Controls you need to make sure you are in Draft mode in Platform, find the particular Address fields you want to configure Address Controls against, and scroll across to the Address Controls:

Make any changes that you want to make to the Controls, and set to Publish
