When you add a Company Applicant or Employer in a Loanapp submission, you are able to use the integrated ABN Lookup service to verify the ABN, and extract/populate other company registration details in the Loanapp interface.

Where can you use the ABN Lookup service?

The ABN Lookup service can be used when:

  • adding a PAYG Employer Company

  • adding a Self-employed Employer Company

  • adding a Company Applicant

  • adding a related company party like an Accountant, or a Solicitor

Searching for a Company by using the Company Name

In this example, we are adding the applicant's PAYG employment. You will need to add the details of the Employer by clicking on the Employer, and +Add New Company:

This will launch a new "Employer" modal.

To use the ABNLookup you can either Add the Company Name and click the πŸ”Ž search icon:

ABN Lookup will start to run against the Company Name:

And you will get a list of possible matches, which you can scroll through to select the correct company:

When you make a selection, you will get some more focused detail on your selection to double check:

If it is not the correct Company, you can go back to the Search Results; but if correct, press "Select"

And the detail will be populated (and locked as un-editable), given that it is now verified:

Searching for a Company by using the ABN number

Often, a Employer name will be a trading name, and you will not be sure of the real underlying company name. If you cannot find the correct company via the Company Name, you can try instead by searching against the Company ABN. In this case, add the ABN:

And then click the πŸ”Ž search icon. The ABN lookup service will be called and search against the ABN:

And you will have the same opportunity to confirm you have the correct Company:

Which will then auto-populate in the Company modal details, locked as verified.

Searching for a Company by using the ACN number

Some Companies, particularly where you are a Pty Ltd ATF a Trust applicant, will not have an ABN. In the Company Applicants section of Loanapp, you are also able to search via the ACN of the Company:

This will then follow the same process of presenting you the detail which you can select to autopopulate into the Loanapp interface
