How to View Fraud Check Results For Your Application Documents

Written by Fida Boustani

Simpology Manager now shows you the fraud check result for every document scanned on an application - not just the ones flagged for review. This guide explains what you'll see and how to use it.

Overview

When you upload supporting documents to an application, Simpology automatically runs a fraud check on them. Previously, you could only see a result if a document was flagged as suspicious - clean documents didn't show up anywhere, so it wasn't always obvious whether a document had been checked at all.

Now, every scanned document appears in one place, whether it was flagged or came back clean, so you always have a complete picture of the fraud check results for an application.

What You'll See

Once you drag and drop your supporting documents into a category, the fraud check runs automatically in the background. When at least one document has been scanned, a View Fraud Result button appears on the application.

The View Fraud Result button appears once a document has been scanned.

This button used to be called “Fraud Concern” and only appeared when a concern was raised. It's now called View Fraud Result and appears for every application that has at least one scanned document - whether or not anything was flagged.

How To View Fraud Check Results

  1. Open the application and go to the supporting documents area.

  2. Drag and drop the relevant documents into their categories. Simpology will automatically run a fraud check on each document.

  3. Select the View Fraud Result button.

  4. Review the results table that appears - it lists every document that's been scanned, along with its result.

Understanding The Results Table

Each row in the table represents one scanned document. Here's what each column tells you:

Column

What it shows

Suspected Fraud

A quick Yes or No flag showing whether Simpology has identified a concern with this document.

Document type

The type of document that was scanned, for example Payslip or Notice of Assessment.

Document

The file name of the document that was checked.

Overall score

A numeric score indicating the level of concern — the higher the score, the more attention the document may need. You can sort this column.

Confidence rating

How confident Simpology is in its assessment of the document.

Concern description

Details of any specific issues found, such as inconsistent fonts or a document that may have been edited.

Status

The current status of the document review, for example Active.

Filtering And Sorting Your Results

With every document now visible, you can use the filter and sort options to quickly find what you're looking for:

  • Filter - use the dropdown at the top of the table to show all checked documents, or narrow the list to only documents where fraud is suspected (Yes) or not suspected (No).

Use the filter to show all documents, or only those flagged Yes or No.

  • Sort - select the Overall score column heading to sort documents from lowest to highest score, or select it again to reverse the order. It's sorted from lowest to highest by default.

Taking Action On A Document

The actions available to you depend on whether a document was flagged:

  • Flagged documents (Suspected Fraud: Yes) - you can View, Dismiss, Resubmit, or Confirm the document, just as before.

  • Clean documents (Suspected Fraud: No) - you can View the document. Since no concern was raised, no further action is needed.

What Hasn't Changed

  • The top-level actions on the results pop-up - Close, Raise Alert, and Suspend Application - work exactly as they do today.

  • User permissions for viewing or acting on fraud results are unchanged.

  • Flagged documents keep the same View, Dismiss, Resubmit, and Confirm actions.

Need help?

If you can't see the View Fraud Result button or the actions described here, check with your administrator - access to fraud results is controlled by your user permissions.
