Broker Notes let you attach a note to the exact part of a Loanapp application it explains:
a Loanapp section,
a subsection within a section,
or a single Object such as one employment record or liability.
Assessors then read your context right next to the data it relates to, and the notes are compiled into a Submission Notes document you can attach at lodgement.
The Notes Side Panel
Every note is managed in the Notes side panel, where you can view, edit, delete, search and jump to its location:
If you click on the side panel, it will expand to show you the notes sections:
You can also drag the side panel across to be even bigger, if you wish:
Adding Notes
The notes icon shows you where you can add notes:
You can add notes throughout Loanapp at three levels of the data model:
Level | Example | Where the note shows |
Section | The whole Applicant section | Applicants › Samuel Johnston |
Subsection | The Employment sub-section, within the Applicant section | Applicants › Samuel Johnston › Employment |
Object | One employment record, e.g. Self employed - Part Time | Applicants › Samuel Johnston › Employment › Self employed - Part Time |
If you click on the icon, you can then nominate to add a note. Here I am adding a note at the Section level:
To add a note, type in your note and click Done at the bottom to save it:
You will then see that you have 1 note recorded against the section:
Next, I am adding a note at the Residency sub-section level. The note control will appear if I hover over the Residency title:
I can add a note:
And when saved, I now have 2 notes in the section:
Next, I am adding a note against a particular "Object", within the sections. In this example, I am adding a note against the part-time employment record:
When I have added and saved, I now have 3 notes against the whole section:
I can add notes in this fashion throughout Loanapp.
Notes functionality
Mandatory notes
A Lender can set logic where certain data requires a mandatory note. In this example, I have added a Personal Loan to the Financial Position, and this has triggered a requirement for a mandatory note:
Where a mandatory note is set, you will not be able to submit the application until you have added a note.
Edit Note
When a note has been saved, you can edit it via the Notes side panel:
View Location
You are able to click back to the Loanapp location a note is anchored to:
Search notes
You are able to type in key words to search across your notes:
Creating a Notes Print Form
Your lender will have added a new Print Form which will allow you to generate an output summary of all of your notes - for your records and also to attach to supporting documents:
Your notes will be submitted to the Lender
The Loanapp submission will include your notes for the Lender to review as they assess your deal.
