The first process in Omni Assessment is usually for the assessor to review the submitted application data, review the supporting documents, ask for any Missing Information; and generally prepare the application for full assessment. This article describes the general process (it may be different in your configuration).

Open the Process & Action Items

When you are in the Omni workbench for an application, you will be able to see the OPEN Process - Review Submitted Application.

If you click on the Process, it will open up and you will able to see the individual Action items (tasks) that must be completed to finalise the process and kick off the next one. In this example, we have 5 action items:

If we click on the first Action item, it will open and you will be able to see what needs to be done. The first Action item is to review the "Assessment Summary":

"Start" working on the Action Items.

The Action items can be worked on in any order, however the configuration assumes top to bottom order. More than one action item can be in progress at the same time. You need to have passed all the mandatory ones to pass the Process and trigger the next one.

Click "Start" on the first Action item, which will put the Action item "In Progress":

This first Action Item requires you to review the Assessment Summary, to get an overall understanding of the application.

Once you have reviewed the Assessment Summary, you can then come back to the Action item and "Pass" it:
