You are able to manually update your application status in Omni, if you need to. Some reasons might be:

  • you might want to trigger or re-trigger a workflow that is tied to that status

    • this is particularly good for when testing workflows as you can jump around statuses without following the workflow

  • you might not have a a fully fledged workflow in Omni and you have some manual steps that you take

  • you might be a Mortgage Manager that has submitted to a Funder that doesn't use Omni....and you need to update your status to match theirs

Where can I update the status for an application?

The trigger for a manual status update is actually not in Omni, but in your application dashboard. You can find the control by clicking the 3 dots on the side of an application record:

When you click on the 3 dots, select "Set status":

๐Ÿ‘ฎ If you don't see this selection when you click the 3 dots - you do not have the correct permissions - talk to your admin to update your permissions.

You will then be presented with a list of statuses to change the application to (what you see in your list will depend on your configured statuses)

(You may need to click "show All" to see all options).

When you select your new Status, you can then set some allocation logic (if makes sense); and then click Set Status:

This will update the Status of your application, and if you added some allocation logic, it may have changed the current coordinator of the application:
