Lenders can configure to enable a credit check to be requested on your applicants within the Loanapp workflow. Using the Bureau Check service in Loanapp requests a full Credit File and registers the Lender enquiry as a footprint on the applicants' file.

If a lender has this service in their workflow, the Bureau Check will automatically be triggered once the applicants have finalised the Loanapp digital consent, so it is important that you are aware of this. Note that it is the same check a lender will do once you submit, so its really only bringing forward the workflow.

The Bureau check workflow is a 'blind' service - neither you or the applicants need to do anything.

The Bureau check can be found in the "Financial Position" section of your application:

Until consent has been received, the Bureau check widget in Loanapp will be noted as 'pending':

When your applicants have completed the digital consent, the Bureau check widget will be noted as 'requested'. Loanapp will gather the required data from your Loanapp application, and post via API this data to Equifax, requesting a Credit Check.

The service is almost instant, and when completed the Bureau check widget in Loanapp will be noted as 'completed':

Accessing the Credit report

When Equifax returns the Credit Report, it will automatically be attached to your application. You will be able to review the Credit Report by expanding the Bureau check widget and clicking on the "details" button:

This will download and open the Equifax Credit Report that has been requested and returned to Loanapp:

Depending on Lender configuration, the report can also be configured to land in Supporting Documents for you to attach as part of your application submission.
