There are two ways that Brokers can have access to your Loanapp:

Direct Broker Access to your Loanapp

A broker using Loanapp directly will need to have a login to your Channel in order to access your Loanapp. To setup a direct broker you will need to follow these steps:

Setup Broker's Brokerage (Business they trade under) in your Channel.

In your Channel, Go to Organisation/Entities:

In Entities, click 'Add' to create a new Organisation in your database:

Create the new Brokerage entity by adding all the required details. Note that Status needs to be 'Active' and Entity Type will be 'Brokerage':

Make sure to click Save. You will get a popup confirming a new Entity has been created and saved:

Setup the Broker profile within the Brokerage entity

When you have created a Brokerage entity, you can then add any number of brokers to the entity. Note that you can also come back an add new brokers to an established entity at any time in the future. To Add new broker users, select "Users for this entity":

You will now be able to ADD any new users (brokers) that belong to this entity:

When you click Add, you will be taken to the Entity User profile page.

Set up the broker, ensuring all the mandatory fields are completed and that:

  • User Type = Broker

  • Accredited = ticked

  • Login Allowed = Yes

  • Status = Active

Note that the Channel will automatically set the correct permissions, based on the User Type being Broker.

Add Accreditation details

You will note that when you click 'Accredited' in the profile, a new icon pops up:

Click on this icon to open up the full Broker Profile. This is where you can record the full Broker Accreditation details such as Accreditation number, Insurance and PI details, Qualifications and Memberships.

For now, you need to make sure that your Accreditation Number is added against the Broker Profile. If you do not add this, the broker will not be able to launch Loanapp and submit applications.

To add the Accreditation number, expand Lender Accreditations, and click Add:

Note that it's best to ensure the expiry is far into the future. If this date clocks over, the broker accreditation (and therefore access) will lapse:

Broker receives email invite to finalise login credentials

When you create the new broker user in your channel, it will automatically set an invite email to your broker to ask them to finalise their login credentials.

While the content of the user setup email will depend on what you have configured, it will at least include instructions to click a link to finalise the login:

When the broker clicks 'here' on the invite email, they will be taken to a screen to finalise their login credentials. NOTE: the branding on these screens will be your logo/branding.

First, the broker will need to set a password. (The username will be the email address of the broker you have setup in their profile):

Once they have entered and confirmed a password, they will be directed back to the login screen to login with their email and newly set password:

If for added security, you have enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), the broker will have to use an Authenticator App to generate a key/code. For more information on 2FA, click here.

When the broker logs in, they will land on the Application dashboard, and be able to launch Loanapp by going to Solutions/Loanapp:

Loanapp Access via an Aggregator CRM

A broker can use your Loanapp by launching the application from within their Aggregator CRM. The experience will vary across CRMs, but generally they will all have a 'Loanapp' or 'Submit to Lender' button that can be used when they have created a new opportunity in their CRM.

To allow brokers to launch Loanapp from their CRM, they will still need to be setup as a user in your Channel. To setup a broker to be able to launch your Loanapp from their CRM, you will need to follow these steps:

The Broker will then be able to launch your Loanapp from within their CRM. Note that a broker's Last Name, Email and Accreditation must be matching in both CRM and Channel profiles for Loanapp to successfully launch.
