When you have finalised your application in Loanapp, you will get to the Submit Workflow. The general steps of the submit workflow are:
finalise your application data and validate the application
generate your supporting docs checklist
(upload your supporting docs and satisfy checklist items)
And then submit your application
An optional step in the submit workflow is to "Generate Info Requests for Review".
This will generate requests for any outstanding supporting documents that you haven't yet attached to your supporting documents checklist. You are able to review these generated requests, and then send to your applicants, who can review and upload supporting docs straight back to you, via a secure portal.
The "Generate Info Request for review" button is in the submit workflow. It will only be enabled after you have generated your Supporting Docs Checklist. The idea is that you first review your checklist, upload any docs you have, and then request any remaining docs with this functionality.
Working example
In this example, I have generated my checklist, and uploaded documents against much of the checklist - I have satisfied 14 of the 21 required documents:
If I go back into the Loanapp Submit Flow, and click Generate Info Requests for Review, this will trigger Loanapp to generate "Info Requests" for all outstanding documents. These requests will be created in the Information Request module. You will see that 7 requests have been created, 2 for Sharon and 5 for Jeremy:
You are able to check each of the Requests, update them if you wish
So far the requests have been created, they have not been sent. You now have the opportunity to review each of the requests, and update the language if you wish. You can even delete any that you don't want to send out.
To review an Info Request, click on the request to open it; and then review/update the details if you want to. In the following example, I have opened the Info Request to Jeremy, requesting "Other Income - Interest":
I have updated the title so that it makes more sense to Jeremy. If I click on "Preview Request", I can see what Jeremy will receive:
Make sure you click SAVE, and this will update the request:
You are also able to Delete any requests that you think you don't need. To do this, open the request; and simply click delete:
This will delete the request and it will not be sent to your applicants.
Send your requests to your applicants
When you are ready, you can click Send All to send the requests to your applicants:
Once sent, the Info Requests status will change to Open:
Your applicant experience
When you click "Send All", Loanapp will send an email to both Sharon and Jeremy, with instructions to 'click here' to login and review the requests:
When the applicant clicks 'here', they will be taken to a browser to finalise their login credentials. This is important as it means they will be able to securely upload documents back to your loanapp application:
Your applicant will then be able to login. Note that if you send them further info requests during the application process, they will go straight to this screen to login:
When your applicant logs in, they will be presented with the info requests that have been sent to them. Each applicant will only see the info requests that should be fulfilled by them (they won't see the other applicant requests). For Jeremy:
And for Sharon:
Note that your applicants can login on any device. If they login on a mobile, they can simply take photos of the required documents to get them back to you
The applicant can then click on any of the requests to be able to see more detail, upload documents, add any comments they want to add, and submit back to you (your loanapp application):
The applicant will upload the required document/s, add comment is they want to, and then press Submit:
They'll be then taken back to their list of Info Requests which they can continue to reply to. Any completed request will no longer be on the list.
Note that your applicant can close the browser at any time; and return to info requests by clicking on 'click here' in their email invite and logging back in.
What happens when documents are returned to you?
When an applicant submits an Info Request reply, you will get an email notification that an info request has been completed, and you can login to view the reply. The returned document will be in the Information Request Module:
You will find that the Info Request that has been answered is now in Replied status:
If you click on this item, you will be able to review the request details, and see what has been returned by the applicant:
If you click on the PDF icon, you will be able to review the document that has been attached:
If you are happy with the document, you can "Accept Response, send doc to supporting docs, and close request":
The Info Request will then be 'Complete':
And if you go back to supporting docs, your document will be in your Documents Bucket, waiting for you to attach to the checklist requirement:
Note that you can go back into "Complete" Info Requests at any time if you need to review old, completed requests.
