When you have completed your Loanapp application, you will Generate you Supporting Documents Checklist.

When you have uploaded all your documents and attached to the checklist, you will want to submit your supporting documents to your Lender.

Generally, the Lender will require you to submit the Application itself, before you can submit your supporting documents

When you have finalised your supporting documents checklist, the interface will have a new button appear - All Loaded:

If you have already submitted the application itself, the Submit button should then become enabled, and you can submit your documents.

However, if you havent yet submitted your application, you might find that the Submit button is still not enabled. If you click on the tooltip you will see instruction to first submit the application:

This is mostly because lenders generally need their Unique Reference of the submitted application to be returned to Loanapp, before you submit the documents - this will allow the unique ref to be attached to the documents.

If you go back into Loanapp Submit workflow, you are able to submit the application:

The submit will take ~1 minute; and then you will presented with a new screen. Note that you can click back through to supporting documents from here:

When you go back to Supporting Documents, you will find that the Submit button is now enabled, and there is a notation that 0/x documents have been submitted:

You will now be able to press Submit on your Supporting Documents, which will generate a double check:

A new icon will appear against each document, which means that it has been submitted; and the notation on the submit button will change to reflect the number of documents that have been submitted:

Note that some Lenders allow multiple submissions.

eg Some Lenders allow:

  • you to submit as long as you have satisfied all the mandatory documents

  • then everything else

Generally, the tooltip on the Submit button in supporting documents will tell you what that lender allows.

Please review the Specific Lender Articles to find out more about your specific Lender.

What if I get this error?

As outlined above, the Supporting Docs cant be submitted until you have submitted the application data, and this is because the Unique Ref, generated in the Lender's LOS when you submit, is returned to Loanapp, and this Unique Ref is needed to be attached to the supporting documents, so that the Lender LOS knows which application the supporting documents should be linked to.

Sometimes, you will still not be able to submit the supporting documents where the Lender LOS has not yet returned the Unique Ref. In this circumstance, you will get this error message:

There is nothing that you can do, other than give it a bit of time and try again later. The Lender LOSs tend to return the Unique Ref almost instantly, but this is not always the case.
