How to Clear Your Cache and Cookies?

A Step-by-Step Guide for Different Browsers

Clearing your cache and cookies can help resolve common issues on websites.
Here’s how to do it on various browsers, including both desktop and mobile versions:

💻 Desktop

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.

  2. Select ‘Options’ (or ‘Settings’).

  3. Go to ‘Privacy & Security’.

  4. Under ‘Cookies and Site Data’, click ‘Clear Data’.

  5. Check the boxes for ‘Cookies and Site Data’ and ‘Cached Web Content’, then click ‘Clear’.

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select ‘Settings’.

  3. Under ‘Privacy and security’, click ‘Clear browsing data’.

  4. Choose a time range, or select ‘All time’ to clear everything.

  5. Check the boxes next to ‘Cookies and other site data’ and ‘Cached images and files’.

  6. Click ‘Clear data’.

Safari (Mac)

  1. Open Safari and click on ‘Safari’ in the menu bar at the top.

  2. Choose ‘Preferences’.

  3. Go to the ‘Privacy’ tab.

  4. Click on ‘Manage Website Data’.

  5. Click ‘Remove All’ to clear cookies.

  6. To clear cache, go to the ‘Advanced’ tab in ‘Preferences’.

  7. Check the box at the bottom that says ‘Show Develop menu in menu bar’.

  8. In the menu bar, click on the new ‘Develop’ menu.

  9. Select ‘Empty Caches’.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select ‘Settings’.

  3. Click on ‘Privacy, search, and services’ from the left-hand menu.

  4. Under ‘Clear browsing data’, click ‘Choose what to clear’.

  5. Select a time range, or choose ‘All time’ to clear everything.

  6. Check the boxes next to ‘Cookies and other site data’ and ‘Cached images and files’.

  7. Click ‘Clear now’.

📱 Mobile

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Tap the three horizontal lines in the lower-right corner.

  2. Select ‘Settings’.

  3. Go to ‘Delete browsing data’.

  4. Check ‘Cookies’ and ‘Cached images and files’.

  5. Tap ‘Delete browsing data’.

Google Chrome

  1. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.

  2. Go to ‘History’ and tap ‘Clear browsing data’.

  3. Choose a time range, or select ‘All time’ to clear everything.

  4. Check ‘Cookies, site data’ and ‘Cached images and files’.

  5. Tap ‘Clear data’.

Safari (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ on your device.

  2. Scroll down and select ‘Safari’.

  3. Tap ‘Clear History and Website Data’.

  4. Confirm by tapping ‘Clear History and Data’.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Tap the three dots at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select ‘Settings’.

  3. Go to ‘Privacy and security’ and tap ‘Clear browsing data’.

  4. Choose what you want to clear: ‘Cookies and site data’ and ‘Cached images and files’.

  5. Tap ‘Clear data’.
