Minimum criteria to earn a Certificate of Completion

Certificates of Completion for a module can be earned by meeting the two criteria:

  • minimum 60 minutes study time in the module, and

  • minimum 80% score in a Test Mode simulation
(note that only a Test Mode score is relevant for the certificate - Learn Mode and Practice Mode simulations are provided to help you learn and get ready for Test Mode, so those scores don't count towards a certificate.)

By the way, if there are no simulations in a module, then you need to score at least 80% in the quiz.

When you've met those two criteria, then the next time you log in, the system will check and calculate your eligibility for the certificate. The next section of this article explains how to access any certificates you've earned.

To access your certificates on a laptop or desktop computer:

From your Logbook, click on the Summary tab and look to the far right of the page for a column called Certificates. If you are eligible for any certificates, you'll find the Download buttons there.

To access your certificates on a mobile device:

Tap on the Summary tab, then tap on Expand Details. Scroll down to the relevant module. If you've met the minimum certificate criteria, you'll see a green Download button for each course that you've successfully completed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Be aware that the information on certificates of completion is linked to the date when you first achieved the minimum criteria, so your certificate will always display the score from that date. Even if you get a better Test Mode simulation score for that module later on, it will not appear on the certificate. To get a completely up to date record of your scores and study times, we recommend that you download the 1-page Module Snapshot Summary instead, a 1-page report which is described in the next section.

The Module Snapshot Summary report - an alternative to a certificate

If you are simply looking for a printout showing your study time and your best/latest scores in a SIMTICS module, we recommend that you use the Module Snapshot Summary. This is a 1-page summary which contains all the latest information on your performance in the selected SIMTICS module. The Snapshot Summary is available to download at any time from your Logbook's Summary tab, using the buttons in the far right column:
