How to use the virtual transducer in ultrasound simulations

Because our product runs in common web browsers, the cursor control options are limited. So there are only two possible movements you need to remember: side-to-side (horizontal) or up-and-down (vertical).

Once you have selected a tool like a transducer, when you click and drag your cursor in one of those directions, it will automatically move the selected tool. Your cursor can be anywhere on the main background image - you don't need to click directly on the tool.

You can usually guess whether a horizontal or vertical movement makes most sense for a step. And if you think it should be a horizontal movement but dragging left-to-right doesn't work, then try right-to-left. (Same for upwards vs downwards.)

If that still doesn't work then try the other type of movement, e.g. if dragging horizontally didn't work, then use a vertical movement instead - and vice versa.

Finally, don't try to move an item like you would in real life, such as trying to "rotate" the transducer - web browsers can't handle that kind of thing, so you only need to know those two directions explained above: horizontal or vertical.

If you follow this advice and you're still having trouble, you might want to go back to the Tutorial to refresh yourself on how the simulations work. There's a sample simulation where you can try this kind of thing out.

Let us know if you still need a hand, though.
