Important steps to remember for your study records to be accurate

If you think that your time in a module isn't getting captured completely, there are two common reasons for this to happen:

  • you closed your browser window or tab without logging out of SIMTICS first; or

  • you allowed your SIMTICS session to time out because you were inactive in that session for more than 15 minutes.

In both cases, the system detects that the session ended abnormally and your study time may not be fully logged - or possibly not logged at all.

So, it's important to always use the SIMTICS Logout option before you close your browser window or your browser app.

Note: all study time that you spend in a SIMTICS module is recorded: reading the text, watching the video, reviewing the anatomy, doing quizzes and simulations. However if you are inactive for 15 minutes, then your session will expire and some of your most recent time may not be recorded. Therefore, if you need to leave your computer for a while, it's always a good idea to log out completely or return to the SIMTICS dashboard/home page.
