Is SIMTICS freezing, or images aren't loading? Here are a few things that may help.

When you are using software in a web browser, sometimes it may stop working as expected - for instance, it might seem to freeze or not display an image correctly. This can sometimes happen with SIMTICS software too. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do from our end when this happens. It is almost always an issue on the user's device. For instance, there may have been a temporary network connection glitch at your end, or it could be that your device has used up all its memory and can't display the next piece of media in the simulation.

You can wait a few minutes and see if the app comes back to life, however, if not then unfortunately you'll need to start the simulation again by refreshing the page.

This issue should not be a common occurrence, so please try the steps below to lessen the risk:

  • Ensure you have a solid and stable WiFi signal to your device, or better yet, plugged via a cable into your internet.

  • Try a different browser - the ones that work the best with SIMTICS are Google Chrome, Firefox and the latest version of Microsoft Edge. Note that there are known issues with Safari, so we recommend using one of the other browsers instead.

  • Update your browser to the latest version - you can check that here https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

  • Clear the cache in your browser, or simply restart your device
