Sending Messages to Guests

How to get in touch with every person checked-in to your site, be they a visitor, contractor, host or staff member.

Messaging from the web dashboard

Group messages can be sent to all checked in guests, hosts and also the SinePoint Pro iPad devices. There are three categories of notification: message, warning and emergency. You may also select a specific Site to send the message to.

  1. To send a Group Message, click on the megaphone icon at the top navbar on the web dashboard.


2. This will reveal the Send Message modal.


3. Type the message you wish to send in the text box.


4. Select the type of notification (choose from message/warning/emergency).


5. Select the type of recipient you would like to send the message to (choose from visitors/hosts/displays, you can select more than one type). Sending to Displays will show a full-screen iPad message for the time you set.


6. Click Send Message.


The groups you selected and the SinePoint Pro devices will all display the text and message type you selected.

Note: guests that checked in via SinePoint Pro will be sent emails and guests that checked in via the Sine Pro smartphone App will be sent push notifications.

7. To send individual messages to guests, press the email or App icons alongside the guest’s profile in the activity dashboard.

Messaging individually will contact the guest using the same methods as above.

Messaging guests from the Sine Pro Mobile App

When a guest checks in and selects you as a host, it is possible to send them a message through the Sine Pro Mobile app. Please follow the relevant guide for your device.

iOS:

  1. Log into the Sine Pro Mobile app and navigate to your Approvals page. You can do this by tapping the Approvals button on the bar at the bottom of the screen.


2. On the Approvals page, find your guest and then swipe quickly to the left. Note: If you swipe slowly and all the way to the left, your guest will be checked out.

3. Tap the Message button that was revealed


4. Enter your message and tap the Send button

5. Your message will then be sent to your guest over all available methods. If they entered their email for example, they will receive an email message.

Android:

  1. Log into the Sine Pro Mobile app and open the Menu by tapping the triple-line button.

2. Touch the Approvals button from the Menu


3. On the Approvals page, find your guest and then swipe the pass to the left. This will reveal the Send Message modal


4. Enter your message and tap the Send button


5. Your message will then be sent to your guest over all available methods. If they entered their email for example, they will receive an email message.
