Guide to Managing Categories and Menus in Your Store
This guide will walk you through the process of managing categories and menus in your online store, helping you customize your product organization and improve the user experience.
1. Accessing Categories
• Step 1: Go to the Products section of your dashboard.
• Step 2: Click on the My Categories tab at the top to view all available categories.
2. Managing Default Categories
• Default Categories: Some categories are preloaded into every store. You can use, edit, or delete these as needed.
• Green Boxes: Categories with green boxes are currently in use and applied to products.
• Red Boxes: Categories in red are not currently in use.
3. Editing or Deleting Categories
• To delete a category, simply select the category and confirm deletion.
• To edit a category:
• Click on the category name.
• Modify the name or settings
• The category will update, and will still indicate whether it is in use (green or red).
4. Assigning Categories to Products
Option 1 - Creating products - towards the bottom of the window on the right, you will see an area for Categories you can assign as you complete this process.
Option 2 - Use Quick Edit in Products: Navigate back to the Products section, click on Quick Edit next to a product in the triple dots.
Option 3 - Select multiple products in the list that use the same categories and perform a Bulk Edit by assigning the corresponding item to all.
Customizing Menus and Pages in Store Design
• Step 1: Go to Store Design, then select Menus and Pages
• Step 2: There are two sections:
• Visible Menus: These are menus currently assigned to and visible in your store.
Adding and Customizing Menu Items
• Visibility Settings: Use the triple dots (actions) to edit menu items. Toggle the Show Navigation switch to make items visible in the menu.
• Rearranging Menu items can be done by using the handles to the left of the item and dragging up or down.
