1. Accessing File Preparation in Your Store
• Step 1: Log into your store. Remember, you will only be working within this specific store.
• Step 2: Navigate to the Files section in the store menu.
• Step 3: Click on Request File Prep to start the file preparation process.
2. Submitting Your Design for File Prep
• Step 1: Name Your Design: Enter a descriptive name for your design (e.g., “SSM Rocks”).
• Step 2: Upload the Artwork: Click to upload your main artwork file. This could be a logo or any primary design file you want prepared.
3. Adding Additional Files
• You can upload additional files such as:
• EPS Files: These vector files are ideal as they maintain high quality and are easily scalable.
• Embroidery Files (.EMB): Preferred for embroidery as they contain detailed thread color information.
• DST Files: Machine files that only include needle numbers, not thread colors. It is recommended to provide .EMB files for complete color data.
4. Embroidery File Guidelines
• Preferred Format: .EMB files are ideal because they contain all necessary thread color information.
• Madeira Threads: Madeira thread colors are preferred and we would like you to use a thread chart to select the correct threads. This helps in accurately matching thread colors during production and removes our liability from selection an unapproved color.
[Pantone to Madeira Conversion: While Pantone colors can be converted, it’s best to directly use Madeira threads for precision. Keeping a Madeira thread chart handy will streamline the process.]
5. Additional Notes and Colorways
• Adding Notes: You can provide any specific instructions in the notes section, such as requesting additional colorways or specifying exact details needed for production.
• Example Note: “Please use my EMB file and add the following colorways: White, Black, Full Color.”
• Final File Setup: Our team will create colorways and generate PNGs, providing all necessary configurations for your products.
6. Complete the Payment on Step 2-
• Step 3: Upon successful payment, a notification will be sent to the Single Serve Merch administration team with your request and attached files.
7. Confirmation and File Preparation
• The request will be processed, and the team will ensure all files are properly prepared, usually within two business days. Once completed, you will receive the files configured for product setup in your store.
This guide provides you with a streamlined approach to requesting file prep for your store, ensuring all designs are correctly prepared and ready for product creation. For further questions or specific file requirements, feel free to contact the support team for assistance.
