To order a tenant report, follow these steps:

  1. Visit singlekey.com (Canada) or singlekey.com (U.S.) and complete your account setup.

  2. Once your account is set up, go to the “Tenant Reports” section.

  3. Click “Order New Report” in the top right corner of the screen.

  4. On the next page, choose between:

    • Invite Tenant

    • Enter Tenant Information

Select the option that best fits your needs and follow the instructions below.

Option 1: Invite Tenant

This is the recommended method for a faster and more seamless experience. When you select Invite Tenant, an email with a rental application form will be sent to the tenant. They will fill out their information and provide consent to run a credit check and a public records scan.

Benefits of this option:

  • Streamlines the process

  • Tenant provides consent directly

  • No need for manual data entry

Once the tenant submits the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You can also log into your account at any time to view completed reports.

Option 2: Enter Tenant Information

If you prefer to enter the tenant’s details manually, ensure you obtain written consent (usually through a rental application form) to run a credit check and public records search.

After consent is received:

  • Input the tenant’s details

  • Receive the report in about 5 minutes

Required Information

  • For Canadian tenants:

    • Full name

    • Date of birth

    • Phone number

    • Email address

    • Current address

  • For U.S. tenants:

    • Full name

    • Date of birth

    • Phone number

    • Email address

    • Current address

    • Social Security Number (SSN)

Why These Reports Matter

Running tenant background checks is a key step in protecting your property and other tenants. Reports include insights into:

  • Credit history and score

  • Eviction records

  • Public document scans

These details help you make informed, confident rental decisions.
