Why Your U.S. Court Records Search May Take a Few Extra Days

This is for U.S processing time

When conducting a background check, especially one involving U.S. court records, it's important to understand that the system is highly fragmented. Unlike other databases that are centralized and easier to access, U.S. court records are spread across a variety of state and county-level systems. As a result, relying solely on a national database doesn’t always provide a complete picture.

To ensure we deliver the most accurate and thorough results, our process automatically triggers a deeper state-level and county-level court records search when needed. These localized searches can sometimes require manual intervention — particularly if the records aren’t digitized or are only accessible through in-person or direct requests with local courthouses.

Because of this additional legwork, the turnaround time for a full report may take up to 4 business days, though we often receive the results sooner. In the meantime, we won’t leave you in the dark — we’ll send you a partial report containing all the available information gathered so far. This ensures you still have visibility while the final checks are completed.

If it's been 4 to 5 business days and you haven’t received your full report, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@singlekey.com. Our team will gladly look into it and provide an update.

We appreciate your patience as we work to provide the most accurate and reliable information possible.
