If you are an admin, you can easily add contractor accounts to Sion. Contractors are generally outside agencies. There are several sections to fill out when inviting an independent contractor, make sure you go through each before sending an invite.

To add a contractor, click your username in the top right of Sion. In the dropdown, select Account Settings.

This opens the general Settings page. In the left menu, click Contractors. The Contractors page will open.

In the top right, click + Independent Contractor.

The New Contractor window will open. There are several sub tabs for contractors:

The Contractor tab is where you can fill in all of the basic contact information for the account.

In the Identifiers tab, select which identifier numbers you want to share with the contractor. Contractors will be able to make bookings for their clients using the shared identifiers. You can only share identifiers for your account.

The Statements tab is where you set how commissions work and are paid for contractor bookings.

Set the percentage that the contractor and your agency will receive from a transaction in the Contractor/Host Split.

This split will be applied by default to every contractor booking made with your identifier number.

Note: Only host agencies can change the split for independent contractor commissions.

Use the Statement Frequency dropdown to select how often statements will be finalized. The calendar can be used to select Fixed Dates and to display selected intervals.

The Host Access tab lets you set what contractor data you can view. Once a contractor accepts an invite, you can no longer edit these permissions.

Note: Contractors can even edit the permissions they give to host agencies when they accept an invite, so double check these settings later.

The Contractor Access tab determines what actions contractors can take on bookings that are made with your identifier. You can update these settings at any time. These settings are not editable by the contractor.

When you’re done, click Send Invite. The contractor will receive an email invitation to create a Sion account with the commission splits, statement frequency, and identifier access already set up.

Note: You can see if a contractor has accepted your invite on the Contractors page.
