You can quickly add a manual booking in Sion following the steps below.

Note: If Sion is integrated with your GDS, you do not need to manually add bookings. More information about how to set up your GDS can be found here.

When you first log into Sion, you’re on the Bookings page. In the top right, click Add Booking.

This opens the New Booking window. First, you’ll fill in the Basic tab.

Note: The Invoice Type you select on the Commission tab will change what categories show on the Basic tab. By default, your booking will be a Supplier Invoice.

You can search for an existing client in the Client field by starting to type and selecting the appropriate client name. If the client doesn’t exist in Sion yet, simply type in the name and select + Add [name] as a client.

You can do the same for a booking Supplier. Sion will auto-suggest most hotels in the supplier field even if they haven’t been used yet in your account.

Fill in the remaining fields as needed.

Keep in mind that some agents may have automatic splits associated with them.

Depending on your account permissions, you can click the split amount to adjust it for an individual booking.

You can do the same for agency splits.

Note: Make sure you select the correct IATA # for a booking as this affects who receives commissions from suppliers and profit statistics.

When you’re ready, move onto the Commission tab.

Double check that you’ve selected the correct invoice type. Note that if you change the invoice type, you will need to check the fields on the Basic tab for changes. See the article here to understand the different invoice types.

Fill out any of the other applicable fields on the Commission tab.

When you’re done, click Save Booking to create the new booking.
