How do I delete a recording, or make it private?

Marking recordings private

Most users in Siro do not have the ability to delete their own recordings. However, marking recordings as "private" is usually a good solution. This way, the recording is retained in case you need to reference any of its contents later, but is not visible to the rest of your team. No one else, not even managers, can access private recordings. Only the person who made the recording can change its privacy — coaches and admins don't see this option, even on recordings they can otherwise edit. You can do this in both the web app and the mobile app. To make a recording private:

  • Open your recording

  • Tap or click the three dots next to the recording title to open the recording actions menu

  • Choose "Make recording private". To undo it, choose "Make recording public" on mobile or "Change to limited access" on web.

A private recording is also removed from your team's Feed, so it can't be shared while it's private. On the web app its access status reads Private; on mobile a Private badge shows.

Deleting a recording

If you prefer to delete a recording entirely rather than marking it private, you can reach out to your company's admin directly (typically a manager). Admins have the ability to delete recordings through their dashboard.
