User roles & permissions in Siro

Learn what all different types of users can see and do in Siro

Written by Ethan Peterson-New

Siro has four roles you assign to a user, each of which comes with its own set of permissions:

  • Owner

  • Admin

  • Coach

  • Rep

There is also a fifth role, Organization-group admin, which comes from managing a group of organizations rather than from a setting on the Users page. See below.

Owner

Owners have the same full access as Admins, plus the ability to transfer ownership of the organization to another eligible user.

Admin

Admins have full access to Siro. They can:

  • Add and remove licenses (added via the Users page, and then confirmed in the Billing portal)

  • Create new Conversation Types (e.g. D2D, In-Home)

  • Add themselves or others to any Conversation Types

  • Add themselves or others to any team, not just those they coach

  • Activate or deactivate integrations

  • View all recordings, regardless of conversation type (excludes private recordings)

Organization-group admin

This role is for customers whose Siro account spans several organizations — for example a franchise with a separate organization per location. Those organizations are collected into an organization group, and an organization-group admin manages that group. They can:

  • Do everything an Admin can do, but across every organization in the groups they manage rather than in a single organization

  • Use the extra Group Admin section in the web sidebar, which holds Manage organization groups and Manage organizations

This role is granted on the organization group itself, not by setting a role on the Users page — so it does not appear as a role in your Users list.

Coach

Coaches have visibility and management over the teams they're assigned to. They can:

  • Add or remove Reps or other Coaches on Teams they coach

  • Open the "Reps" screen from the menu in the Mobile App to see a list of reps and their recording status

  • View recordings and analytics for all reps on their assigned teams

Rep

Reps are end users focused on recording and reviewing their own conversations. They can:

  • Record conversations using Siro

  • View their own recordings, including scorecards and coaching spotlights

  • View recordings that have been shared to the feed (or surfaced via search) for any team, as long as they fall under a Conversation Type the rep is assigned to — not just their own team

  • Comment on their own recordings, as well as those that have been posted to the feed
