Between appointments, you're already processing. What landed? What didn't? What do I say next time? Chat answers those questions — fast, grounded in what actually happened in your conversations.
No digging through recordings. No waiting on your manager. Open the app, ask a question, get something you can use on the very next appointment.
What Is Chat?
Chat is a text- and voice-based assistant built into the Siro mobile app. Unlike a generic AI assistant, Chat is connected to your actual recordings — its answers are based on what happened in real conversations, not general advice.
Chat is available to reps, coaches, and admins, with each role getting an experience tailored to their needs:
Reps get a self-coaching experience centered on their own recent conversations.
Coaches and admins get a team-coaching experience with org-wide visibility into rep performance and recordings.
Chat for Reps
Chat is the default home screen for reps when logging into the mobile app. It's your on-demand coaching tool for debriefing appointments, drafting follow-ups, and practicing before your next conversation.
Debrief your appointments in seconds
You just finished a tough one. Instead of replaying it in your head, ask Chat:
"What went well in my last appointment?"
"What objections came up, and how did I handle them?"
"What should I do differently next time?"
You get a clear, specific breakdown — what you did well, where you left opportunity on the table, and what to sharpen before your next door.
Turn conversations into follow-ups
Stop staring at a blank screen. Ask Chat to draft:
A follow-up text that confirms next steps
A follow-up email that references what the customer cared about most
A quick recap to paste into your notes or CRM
What would've taken 10 minutes takes 30 seconds.
Practice before the next appointment
Roleplay is one of the fastest ways to sharpen a skill. Chat can step into the customer's shoes so you can:
Practice handling a specific objection before it comes up again
Rehearse your discovery questions or closing sequence
Work through the exact scenario that tripped you up
It gives you real-time coaching feedback as you go — not just "good job," but specific adjustments you can apply immediately. This kind of free-form practice — where you set the scene — is available to everyone.
Ask about roleplays your manager assigned you
If your organization has Roleplay turned on, Chat also knows the roleplays your manager assigned you — so you can check on them without leaving the chat. Ask what you have left, what's overdue, how your last attempt went, or which skills to work on.
Ask to practice one and Chat can hand it to you. If you ask for a specific assigned roleplay ("let me practice my price objection roleplay"), Chat can drop that assignment in as a card — tap Start on it and you go straight into the roleplay, without opening the Roleplay screen first. For a path, the card shows your progress and the button reads Open path. The roleplay itself doesn't run inside the chat: tapping Start closes the chat and takes you to the roleplay. You can still open Roleplay from the side menu (☰, top-left) any time, and you can only ask about — and start — your own roleplays.
How to open Chat (Reps)
Open the Siro mobile app — Chat is your default home screen.
Choose how you want to engage:
Text mode: Type your question, tap Send.
Voice mode: Tap the Voice button and speak normally.
Tap the Debrief or Roleplay button on the chat screen — or just ask anything in your own words. Debrief starts that type of chat. Roleplay opens your assigned roleplays if your organization has the full Roleplay experience turned on, and otherwise starts a free-form practice conversation. If Follow-ups is enabled for your org, you'll also see a Follow Up button that opens your Follow-ups list (it doesn't start a chat mode). Note: the Voice button starts a voice conversation; to start a Roleplay, tap the Roleplay button directly.
Keep the conversation going. Ask follow-up questions to go deeper or shift direction.
Not sure what to ask? Suggested prompts are right there to get you started.
Sample prompts for reps
Quick debrief
"Give me a short debrief of my last appointment."
"What were the top 3 moments that affected the outcome?'
Handling objections
"List the objections the customer raised and how I responded."
"What's a better way to handle the price objection next time?"
Close and next steps
"What buying signals did the customer give?"
"What should my next step be with this customer, and why?"
Follow-up drafting
"Write a follow-up text that confirms next steps."
"Draft a follow-up email that references what the customer cared about most."
Roleplay and practice
"Let's roleplay handling a price objection."
"Help me practice my discovery questions."
"I want to practice asking better follow-up questions."
"What roleplays do I still have to complete?"
"Am I overdue on any assigned roleplays?"
"How did I score on my last assigned roleplay?"
The first three run as free-form practice and work for everyone. The last three are about assigned roleplays, so they need Roleplay turned on for your organization.
Chat for Managers (Coaches & Admins)
Coaches and admins have access to a manager-focused version of Chat, designed to help you coach your team faster — by asking questions about team performance, reviewing what's happening in the field, and turning insights into coaching actions. Chat is available from your homepage immediately upon logging into the app.
Unlike the rep experience (which is centered on a rep's own recent conversations), Chat for managers is grounded in team-level context — your teams, reps, recordings, and performance data — so you can ask coaching questions that require org-wide visibility.
What you can do
Get quick answers about your team
"How is my team doing this week?"
"Where should I focus my coaching?"
"What are the most common objections right now?"
"Which reps are handling price pushback best — and what are they saying?"
Coach a specific rep
"How is [rep name] doing?"
"What should I coach [rep name] on next?"
"Summarize [rep name]'s last conversation and the biggest opportunity."
Turn insights into action
Draft coaching feedback you can share with a rep
Identify a specific moment to call out in a recording (with citations and timestamps when available)
Keep track of roleplay practice
"Who still has outstanding roleplays?"
"Who is overdue?"
"How is [rep name] doing on their assigned roleplays?"
"Which skills is the team weakest on in roleplay?"
Chat reports a rep's highest passing score rather than an average, and won't lead with a score from an attempt that didn't pass — ask about that attempt directly to dig into it. Chat can review and explain assigned roleplays but can't start one on a rep's behalf; use Nudge user on the web Roleplay → Review tab for that. Requires Roleplay to be enabled for your organization.
How to access Chat (Managers)
Open the Siro mobile app.
Chat is your home screen — you'll usually land there when you open the app. To get back to it from anywhere, open the side menu (☰, top-left) and tap Home.
Your active chat follows you throughout the app. The Chat with Siro box sits at the bottom of every screen — tap it to pick the conversation back up without losing your place. When a conversation is open, the box shows that conversation's title instead of the Chat with Siro prompt.
Chat history
Your conversations are saved so you can return to a prior thread and pick up where you left off.
Open the side menu (☰, top-left). Your latest conversations appear under Recent chats — tap one to reopen it, or tap View All to open your full history.
The full list is grouped into Today, Yesterday, and Older, and older chats load as you scroll. Use the search box at the top to filter — note it searches chat titles, not what was said inside them. Pull down to refresh.
To start a fresh chat, tap New on the Chat screen.
Tips for getting the best results
Ask in coaching language. "What should I coach next?" tends to work better than "Give me analytics."
Start broad, then narrow. Ask about the team → then drill into a rep → then drill into an example.
Be specific with timeframes. Try: "this week," "last 2 weeks," or "this month."
Debrief Call (Proactive Calling from Siro)
If you'd rather not open the app, Siro can come to you. When Debrief Calls are enabled, Siro automatically calls you shortly after you finish a conversation — so you get coaching while the appointment is still fresh, no extra steps required. Note: Debrief calls are available on iOS and Android — make sure you're on the latest version of the app. (This setting was called Companion Calling before the September 2026 app update.)
The call is typically a few minutes. You can expect:
1–2 things you did well, tied to what actually happened in the conversation
1–2 focused areas to work on before your next appointment
An option to jump straight into roleplay practice if you have time
When does it call? By default, Siro calls once a day, after your first recording — about 10 minutes later if Halftime was running, otherwise once your recording is ready. If you're still with a customer when a call is scheduled, Siro waits until you're done.
You control the frequency. Open Settings → Notifications → Debrief Call — Settings is at the bottom of the side menu — and choose:
After every conversation
Once a day (default)
Once a week
Manual — Siro won't call you automatically, but you can still request a debrief call after any recording.
On Android, allow calls to show full screen. You may also see Show calls full screen beneath the frequency setting. Until you grant that permission, a debrief call arrives as a notification rather than taking over the screen — the call still comes through, it is just easier to miss. Tapping the row hands you to your phone's own settings, and it disappears once granted.
If a call comes at a bad time, just hang up — no harm done.
Get Better Answers, Faster
The sharper the question, the sharper the answer. Here's how to make the most of each session.
Be specific. "How did it go?" gives you a general answer. "What pricing objections came up, and what should I say next time?" gives you something you can actually use.
Focus on one skill at a time. Rather than asking about the whole appointment, zero in:
"How was my discovery?"
"How did I handle the close?"
"Where did I lose control of the conversation?"
Always end with a next step. The coaching becomes real when it becomes action. Try:
"Give me 3 specific things to do differently on my next appointment."
"Write me a 30-second opener using what you learned from this conversation."
Build a two-minute daily habit. After your last appointment of the day:
Open Chat (right on your homepage)
Ask: "What went well?"
Ask: "What should I improve?"
Pick one thing to practice tomorrow
That's it. Two minutes, one focused change — compounded over a week, and you'll notice a huge difference over time.
FAQs
Does voice mode work with Bluetooth devices?
Yes — voice mode is compatible with standard Bluetooth devices when connected. If you run into any issues, reach out to support and let them know which device you're using so they can help troubleshoot.
Siro said "I didn't catch that" — what does that mean?
If Siro answers "Sorry — I didn't catch that. Could you say that again?", that is Siro failing to complete that one turn — not a problem with your microphone or with how clearly you spoke.
Just ask again. The call is still connected and keeps everything you have discussed so far, so repeating the question is usually all it takes. If it happens two or three times in a row, hang up and start a new voice conversation. If it keeps happening after that, contact Support.
There is no need to check your microphone or speak louder for this message — it is not a listening problem.
How do I find a previous Chat conversation?
Open the side menu (☰, top-left). Your most recent conversations are listed under Recent chats; tap View All for the full history, grouped by Today, Yesterday, and Older. Keep scrolling and older chats load automatically.
The search box at the top filters by chat title — so if you're hunting for something a customer said, search your Recordings instead, not your chat history.
Who can access Chat?
Chat is available to all Siro users — reps, coaches, and admins. Reps get a self-coaching experience focused on their own recordings. Coaches and admins get a manager-focused experience with team-level visibility and coaching tools.
The Chat with Siro box at the bottom of the screen is available to everyone — reps, coaches, and admins alike.
Is Roleplay available to every organization?
No. Free-form practice — where you set the scene and Siro plays the customer — is available to everyone. The full Roleplay experience (assignments from your manager, scoring, paths, and the Review screen) has to be turned on for your organization, and it isn't switched on for everyone automatically. If your team wants it, ask your manager or admin — they can request it from your Siro CSM.
How do I start a Roleplay?
Tap the Roleplay button on the Chat screen. What happens next depends on your organization:
If your organization has the full Roleplay experience turned on, it opens your assigned roleplays — tap Start on the one you want. You can also get there from the side menu (☰, top-left) → Roleplay.
Or just ask Chat for one — "start my discovery roleplay" — and it can hand you the assignment as a card with a Start button that takes you straight into the roleplay.
If your organization doesn't have it turned on, the same button starts a free-form practice conversation, where you set the scene.
Asking Chat about your roleplays — what's left, what's overdue, how you scored — gets you an answer in text, not a card.
