Transporeon Visibility introduces a new default view for tracking in-transit containers using Trimble Maps integration. This feature simplifies container tracking and management, allowing users to:

  • interact with multiple containers sailing on the same vessel in a "cluster"

  • focus on a single container and view its details

  • filter in-transit containers in the sidebar view and zoom in/out of specific areas

This new Map view is enabled for all customers. Users can switch between Map and Table views at any time, and their choice will be saved in the current browser tab.

Note:

Completed container trips are filtered out by default in the new map view but remain accessible in the regular table view.

Single container tracking status on the map

The Transporeon Visibility engine determines each container's actual state and displays its icon on the map as:

  • arriving on time

  • delayed

  • remaining in the upcoming state (when Transporeon Visibility hasn't yet determined valid AIS positions)

Below is a visualization of possible container tracking statuses on the map.

Clustering containers sailing on the same vessel

Containers appear as bubbles on the map, clustered into larger bubbles to improve clarity and prevent overcrowding.

The bubble size corresponds to the number of containers within the cluster—more containers mean bigger bubbles.

Clicking on cluster

To keep users engaged with map interactions, the common pattern for interacting with clusters is:

  • Click on the bubble

The map area will zoom in to the specific location, which will:

  • Split clusters into smaller bubbles

  • Display containers visible in the current map view

  • Update the total container count to reflect what's visible

  • Show updated container cards in the sidebar

Detailed popover for containers and clusters

Clicking on a single container icon or a cluster bubble displays a popup with detailed information. The system extracts available metadata for each container in the cluster and provides real-time insights about potential delays.

Container cards in sidebar view

The left sidebar displays a concise summary of container details and current trip information.

Switching between Map and Table views

By default, Transporeon Visibility shows the full map without filters. Users can switch between Map and Table views at any time by selecting the appropriate tab in the upper right corner.
