❗Note: Transporeon Visibility must enable this feature before you can use it. Please check with your customer who created the transport to confirm if updating timeslots serves their interests, then contact our support team.
Transport owners often provide only approximate timeslots for pickup or delivery of goods. These timeslots can span 24 hours or even multiple days.
This creates problems for:
ETA calculations, which rely on precise timeslots
Stop status tracking (On-time/Delayed), as wide timeslots result in shipments almost always appearing "on-time"
Carriers (or other stakeholders who didn't create the transport) can provide more precise, narrower timeslots to improve tracking accuracy.
Stop timeslot updates can be provided in two main ways:
Manually, via the Transporeon Visibility user interface (see below)
Automated, via a connection between your inhouse system and Transporeon Visibility by using the Transporeon Visibility APIs, see here
Below you will find step-by-step instructions for the manual option.
Step 1: Click the "Edit timeslot" button next to the stop timeslot
Step 2: Add the From:
and To:
dates and times as accurately as possible
Step 3: Click Save
and you're done!
Step 4: You'll see the new timeslot and can hover over the info icon to view the initial timeslot (that was originally provided with the transport).
If you have any questions on that feature, feel free to reach out to our support.
